As the title indicates this is an introduction of sorts for this cute Cool Bunny Card!
There are “cool cats, cool chicks, cool dudes” and now with help from the SSS March kit there is a “Cool Bunny” too.

Sunday is Fun day for me. I get to spend part of the day playing in my craft room. So today I made this card to submit to the PP#338 theme challenge. I am fairly new to challenges and this is my first entry to this blog challenge which I have been following for quite some time and always enjoy the designs and inspiration. I am sure I will become a regular contestant. Here is the link for The Paper Players blog.

This was so much fun to make. I hate to do stamp surgery and was able to get by without cutting the sentiment stamps. Used that old trick of just masking off the words I didn’t need with washi tape before inking then removed it before stamping. I know… I know.. you can always put them back together after the surgery but when possible I try not to have to make the cut. I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.
Shhh..Funny no surgery but the Bunny needed a resuscitating anyway. Nearly done and putting final touches on and..oops slipped with the Tombo marker as I was cleaning up the cut edges. Props to the rescue and all was not lost. I wasn’t planning to use them but they really add to the design. Sometimes a card rescue turns out better than the what was originally planned.
I also don’t usually like to get my hands dirty but I couldn’t avoid that this time as I had to use my fingers to spread and rub in the mousse to get that pretty, metallic, blue shine on the frame. I think it was worth it. I am happy with the way it came out. I am having fun with the mousses from the kit. They are slightly different from embossing pastes. Really the whole kit is fabulous.
Ingredients and Directions for Cool Bunny card:
Stamps from the SSS kit: bunny stamp, the cool chick and some bunny stamps.
Zigg Clean Color Brush markers: gray/brown, orange and carmine red.
Dies from a Sizzix set called Frame and Props. The frame was embossed with a Cuttlebug gingham folder and colored with the Nuvo mousse. The mousse and the pretty background paper was also from the kit. I also used a little Wink of Stella on the props that were die cut from black card stock and added a few sequins too.
I hope you like this “Cool Bunny” card and this other one, I made a few weeks ago, where I used the silver mousse similarly on the frame. I just love how it gives the appearance of real pewter. I made this one just for fun and to send. Now I cannot decide which one to send to my teen age granddaughter. Probably it will be the “Cool” one to match the cool person it is going to. What do you think?
Thanks so much for stopping by.
I will be back soon to share more of my crafty creations and inspiration.
Hope you check out the PP Challenge blog too for more crafty goodness and inspiration.
Enjoy and have a SUPER COOL day! ~Pat
