TGIF TURNED TWO.
The challenge blog is celebrating over at TGIF for challenge # 105 and with very good reason. Wow two years of challenges that is some milestone. It is always such fun to take part in these great challenges. The design team members have always shared such beautiful creations. Thank You and Happy Birthday to you all.
I have made a full size shaker card in honor of the 2 year celebration. Shaker cards are such fun. The interactiveness really get you in the mood for a party. On with the card design and ingredients.
I pulled out quite a few things from my stash. Living up to the promise I have made to myself to use things I have had for a while and never used before.
First up is the background stamp from Stampendous. The HB2U is from a Hero Arts alphabet set. The shaker sequins and sprinkles are mostly Martha Stewards. The banner is probably from Sizzix. To tell the truth I don’t really recall what die set the banner is cut from. I cannot locate it at the moment and have had this cut for probably 2 years and layered up 3 times in my die cuts extras folder.
I then cut a few black banner triangles free hand to back the white banners to give them a border. I also colored the banner edges with silver Wink of Stella. The red frame is die cut 3 times with the acetate sheet glued and popped up with foam tape. I colored the frame and the number 2 with a Copic marker R27 – cadmium Red. Then dazzled it with some black Ranger Enamel Accents dots.
The number 2 was die cut from a set of Tim Holtz letters and numbers. I love this set there is like 140 pieces or something like that. You can spell almost anything as there are multiples for the commonly used letters. Lastly the Banner and the number were covered in clear Wink of Stella. I love that stuff too.
Be sure to stop by and check out the design teams inspiration and wish them a Happy Birthday!
Thanks again for stopping by.
Enjoy ~ Pat
