Wedding Card with Embossed Congrats Label.

Hello everyone. I am sharing a card today that I made for a wedding. It is a totally different style for me. Meaning no glitter or sparkling sequins. It was designed with a theme in mind that the two are marrying and moving to a new neighborhood as well. I guess it would also be a nice card for someone who just go a new home too. The card has a unique embossed label that I created as part of the sentiment. I finally used the city stamp set I mentioned in this previous post where I used just one of the stamps and mentioned I would be sharing a card soon using this artsy stamp set.. Although there isn’t a lot of white space it really is CAS. I originally was going to leave the sky as a blank white space but it seemed to be missing something. I do hope it is fitting for the AAA CAS game #90 embossing challenge. On with the card design and ingredients.

I made the heat embossed embellishment with a Sizzix die cut label frame from thin chip board. This was temporarily glued to a chip board handle to allow for easy handling and to protect the fingers. Covered the label with Versamark ink and Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder then heat embossed a few layers letting it cool between each. After the final layer I very quickly took the congrats rubber stamp and firmly pressed it into the warm label. Then removed the stamp after it cooled off and got this awesome metallic impression.

I stamped the scene with the Yellow Owl Workshop city stamp set that a found recently while out shopping with my daughter near her home. She knows how much I love crafting and brought me to a local art store. We spent quite a bit of time there. I picked up a few other items too. Now that is a shocker.

I used SSS Hybrid inks in holly hock, catnip, cloudy sky and wisteria, and Memento London fog and tuxedo black colored inks for stamping on a white card front. Cut some masks from post it notes and stamped the house a few times and a couple of trees to create the look of a neighborhood. The stamped sentiment from Hero Arts Congrats stamp and cut set and card base are both Neenah dessert storm card stock.

Be sure to check out the AAA challenge for more fun embossing inspiration from some really creative designers.
