A Little Hello Flower Tag

Hello everyone. Thanks for stopping by to check out my tag design for the Tag You’re It monthly challenge – TYIC#71. I look forward to this challenge as I love creating tags for gift boxes, bags and at times as part of a card design.

Lindsey M-P’s awesome tags were great inspiration for me. I used the flower design and the red and green color palate for my design. I think it will look great atop a white bag or box  or even clipped to and envelope with a cute trendy paper clip. On with the card design and ingredients.

The shape of the tag was just a hand cut curve atop the rectangles of gray, red and white card stock.
The tag front background was a Tim Holtz stencil with sponged Hero Arts unicorn ink. The flowers and leaves are cut with MFT stitched flower dies and colored with distress markers in crushed olive and festive berries then spritzed with water for the watercolor look. The mason jar is an EK-Success punch that I punched twice from heavy weight vellum and glued the stem to one and covered the other with Versamark pen and liquid platinum embossing powered and heat set that to create the jar outline details. These were then glued together.

The banner is  a die cut from a MFT banner that is stamped with an MFT springtime bloom stamp sentiment. This was glued to the mason jar and the jar was glued down with strategically placed Multi Medium Matte behind the banner and behind he embossing. Only the flowers are popped up. . Used a gray Tombo marker for shading under the mason jar and topped of the flowers, leaves and stem with clear Wink of Stella. The flower centers were created with two drops of white Ranger Enamel Accents. One larger one and one smaller one. I let the first larger drop dry a little before placing the smaller one.

I created the slit for the ribbon by layering a white on red very tiny rectangles of card stock and punching it with a slit punch twice side by side so the slit would be big enough. I have had the punch for a while and think it is from EK Success.  Lastly I used a few of the crystal Nuvo drops in morning dew to finish up the tag.

Here is one of the pretty  inspiration tags. Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to check out all te fabulous designers tags for more inspiration.
