Hello and welcome. The weekend went by too fast. I didn’t get as many cards finished as I had planned but I was able to spend quite a bit of time in my craft room. I was just organizing some of my new products from my lasted two hauls. I call them hauls but really it was a few items from SSS and MFT. They came recently within a day or two of each other so it felt like more.
Here is a card I made for several challenges. They are all listed below. Be sure to check them out. It a sweet flower Birthday card. I used the flowers stamps from the set I mentioned in the previous post. The same one I used for the butterfly. You can check out that post if you missed it. I will link it below. On with the card design and ingredients.
The design is a background of the various flower stamps and greenery front the Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers set. Notice the greenery isn’t green. This is a little out of the box for me as I am always trying to use colors that are realistic. It could be the color combo works well but I am really liking it.
I just repeatedly stamped them on to some MFT card stock with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, and SSS Blue Jay Hybrid ink. The flower stamps are layering stamps and I used some Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink for the stamp layering. To fill in the space a little I did use a few little stamps, a tiny branch and a small dot, from a Concord and 9th set called Love You Mean It! The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiment stamp set from MFT. That is also stamped in the Delicata ink.
Cut down the flower panel and popped it up with foam tape onto a dark blue card stock after wrapping some pink and gold twine around the side for a bit of embellishment, texture and dimension.
I matted the sentiment in the same color card stock as the card front. This was then glued to a white card base. Can you believe it is done and I didn’t mention “topping it off with a little Wink of Stella”. Yes it is true. I think the gold shine is just enough.
You can click HERE to see the prior post with the card that shows the Butterfly that was stamped and die cut from the Lawn Fawn Fab flower stamp and die set.
Here is a list of all the challenges that this card was designed for.
