Easy Colorful Birthday Card

Hello everyone. Quick post here for a very easy and fast card design. I have a lot of birthdays this month and needed one more to send. It is one that will fit well for The Paper Players #348 color challenge this week. On with the card design and ingredients.

White card front on white card base.
White heat embossed the sentiment from Tim Holtz crazy birds on the card front.
Swiped ink cube stripes in Melon, Mint Candy and Jelly Bean with SSS hybrid inks.
Let dry some then cut out stitched flowers twice from MFT dies.
Then glued them all onto the card base as an inlaid flower pattern on each corner.

Tip: I cut the first set of flowers clustered in one corner. After removing the flowers from the die. I then put die back in to the cut out spots and used a large piece of washi tape to keep them in the same spot. Lifted the tape with the dies all connected and flipped the card front around and die cut them again. So each corner is cut in the same pattern.

Of course you cannot see it but there is some beautiful shine going on with the flowers that I covered with some of my favorite… clear Wink of Stella.

That is really it. A very simple but pretty colorful card.

Be sure to check out the challenge for more wonderful inspiration in this gorgeous color palette.

  1. Wow, Pat, you say this is an “easy” card, but I see lots of labor going on! Swiping and inlay – neither of which are easy! Super fun card for our challenge this week. Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players! Crystal, DT
