Water you up to?

Water you up to?

Hello everyone. Hope your weekend is a splash! I overslept today because I was up late last night as I finally had time to play with the new SSS July Card Kit. I just love the bikini designs. There are so many summer themed note cards you can create with the stamps, die, and the awesome patterned papers. I am going to have such fun with this one. It might be like my obsession with coffee cards. You can find some of those in prior posts ( press here, here and here) or most via the Pinterest board page link. Now on with this card design and ingredients.

This is a fun note card that is fitting for the CTD #448 and the CTS #227 challenges. I started by stamping the three bikinis on some Tim Holtz distress watercolor paper in Versafine Onyx Black ink. These were water colored in with Kuretake gansai tambi paints. After they dried I added the white polka dots with a white gel pen. Of course they are topped with clear Wink of Stella.

The card front is a watercolor panel that was first stamped with the wavy stamp from the card kit in Versamark ink that was covered with clear embossing powder. Heat set and then water colored in a green/blue teal color to create a calm pool water background. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine onyx black and die cut with a MFT rectangle.

Put the card together by creating a black border for the bikinis and popping this up with foam tape. Glued the sentiment down by slipping it under the bikini focal point. Lastly added some Morning Dew Crystal Nuvo Drops.

So…that is what I have been up to. How about you?

Be sure to check out the following challenge blogs they are always so much fun and offer such great designs and inspiration.
