Mini Minion Punch Art with Splatters and Stamping

Mini Minion Punch Art Card.

Super fun card today. I had to get it together quickly. It’s for my grandson’s birthday. He is coming for a sleepover tonight. It is sure to be a fun overnight. I am sure there won’t be much time for crafting. It might be a few days before I get something posted again. I will have to figure it out a I have a baby shower soon and have to get something made for that. Funny how a card maker doesn’t have one ready….Right!. On with the card design and ingredients.

I was going to do an astronaut theme but at the last minute I heard he loves Minions. I don’t have a minion stamp so I searched Pinterest and came across this older post of a cute mini one by Dawn Olchefski. You can find her link HERE. She has a nice video and photo of sizes and punch sizes. I don’t know if I used the exact sizes as in the directions. I don’t own all the dies and punches she had so I just eye balled it. I did change it up a bit by adding some hair and making it into a card. She created these really cute sampler designs with each block being a different design. So cute.

So first I made the minion from a two inch square or yellow and a 2 1/4 inch border. The back ground is Ranger Distress inks splattered onto a white card base. Then I stamped the dotted line border in Ranger jet black archival ink. I followed the directions on the video to put the mini minion together The eyes have a Glitter gel pen line and a couple dots for some shine. The buttons have some clear Wink of Stella on them and I Outlined the sentiments in it as well.

Ingredients:
Paper: Neenah 110# white, scrap white for the sentiment. SSS sunshine yellow. SSS Audrey blue.
Inks: Ranger distress in cracked pistachio, mustard seed and black soot. Ranger jet black archival and Versafine onyx black.
Stamps: SSS border stamp from August card kit, MFT label maker sentiments,
Other embellishment: White enamel dot, Clear Wink of Stella.
Tools: Various circle punches 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ and a 1/4″ hole punch.
