Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Hello everyone. I finally cracked open a stamp set from Art Impressions(AI) that I have had for a while but never had the chance to use it. Perfect timing to bring it out as SSS challenge this Weds is showcasing AI product. You don’t have to use them. It just so happens I chose this set and it fits the challenge nicely. It is just so cute! It was a fun coloring project. I was going to water color it so it was done on watercolor paper but in the end I just used colored pencils. I will be submitting it to a few other challenges too. CTS#235 , PP#358, TGIFC#121 and SSS Weds – Add a Sentiment. On with the card design and ingredients.

I first stamped the ladies in the vehicle and traffic light post onto watercolor paper. With the intent that I would be watercoloring and cutting them out. Then as I mentioned I changed my mind and used colored pencils. I basically followed the color palette on the stamp set. Then I fuzzy cut them out. Then I added the sentiment to the light post.

As I was playing around with the placement on an A2 card base. I got the idea to make the striped street design thinking of the CTS challenge. The intersecting street pattern was done with two stamps. The MFT candy stripes and the SSS border die from the August card kit to create the dashed center line. I then added the other sentiment to the card front.

Then I used foam squares to pop up the traffic light post and pop up only the ladies and glued the bottom of the car down flat on the card base.

I put some clear Wink of Stella on the car, the earring, and the baseball cap. I used some silver Wink of Stella on the traffic post and the fenders. I outlined the traffic light post and the arrow sign with the Silver too.

Lastly I used some Crystal Nuvo drops on the traffic Iights in the correlating colors.

This was such a fun card to make and I can see sending it to a friend inviting them out for a fun day of shopping, eating or crafting.

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black. Prisma Colored Pencils.

embellishments: Wink of Stella in clear and silver. Nuvo Jewel Drops in Keylime, Limoncello, Strawberry Coolis.
Other: Scotch foam squares. Multi Matt Medium
