MFT Springtime Blooms Birthday Card

MFT Springtime Blooms Birthday Card with ink blending.

Hello everyone. Just a quick post and card design for the Color Throw Down – CTD457 challenge this week. The colors are pink, yellow and gray. This was a really quick and easy card. I was able to use a set I have had for a while from MFT that I had only used some of the sentiments and not the flowers. I had fun playing around with the design and also created a few more background panels. I will probably be doing some type of coloring on those. You may just see more of these flowers soon. Hope you like this one. On with the design and ingredients.

Started by ink sponge blending the gray int the center of the card front in the shape of the sentiment. The did the top in pink and the bottom in yellow. Let it dry some. I next used the misty tool and stamped the sentiment which took several stamps to get full coverage. I think I stamped it about 4-5 times. I then stamped over the black with Versamark and did some clear heat embossing for a little shine and dimension. Then I placed the flower stamps around it a pattern I liked and stamped those with the missy also. This was crisp enough after 2 stampings. Thankfully I was using the misty. This is such a great tool for stamping over and over again. I also dry embossed a frame around the edge with the SSS stitched rectangle die.

Lastly I took a little water and sprinkled some around and used paper towel to pull off some of the color and then added some confetti sequins for some sparkle.

Ingredients.
Paper: Canson watercolor paper, Neenah 110# White.
Ink: Ranger Jet Black Archival, Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark, Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber and Iced Spruce.
Stamps: MFT Springtime Blooms and MFT Written in Watercolor.
Embellishments: SSS Moonshine Confetti
