Witch Way to the Candy?

Hello everyone! I am back today with a Halloween card to share that was designed for the Cas(E) #240 , AAA fall colors, CTD #461 and the SSS Wednesday pop up challenges. I just love Halloween with all the color, cute costumes and what else…the candy. We don’t get many coming to the door so I try not to buy too much candy. You know how it is. What’s left over then gets eaten by me.
I used the SSS special edition Halloween set and a few stamps from the October brush stroke stamp set for this card. On with the card design and ingredients.

I started with a piece of white card stock that I did some ink blending with distress oxides to create the green and bluish purple background for the haunted house. The was spritzed with water and dabbed off to remove some color then I stamped the house in black. The house was fuzzy cut.

Then I took a white top fold card base and created some wonky diagonal border stripes with the brush strokes from the SSS October kit.

I then decided the house and sentiment placement. The sentiment is stamped in black ink. I then stamped the black bats and candies using distress oxide inks to create the background.

I popped up the haunted house with foam squares and colored it with some clear Wink of Stella. The stripes were looking lost so I cut think strips of black card stock and added them between the colors. I think this helped make then stand out and created some balance.
