Hello Everyone,
I had some time after dinner to get out my Christmas stamping stash to see what I had and to start my cards, treat bags and trinket boxes. I just happens upon this challenge from Lawnfanatics to create a gift package. Those who know me can recall this was my first “love” and how all this paper crafting fun began for me. So I jumped right in and made a couple of treat boxes. On with the box design.
I used the Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box die and the Winter Tiny Tags. I cut the box from a 6×6 DSP from Pink Paislee called Merry & Bright. I have had it for a while and don’t recall where it is from. I cut the snowflake tag and then turned it around and cut it again so that the tag portion cut away and I was left with just the snowflake.
The snowflake was glued to the lid and the end of it I’d hang over just slightly but worked ok as I was able to get it to glue down and fold along the scored box lines. The green snowflake has a silver design and the red one has gold. I layered a white circle with the edges sponged in the coordinating gold or silver Delicata ink. The next layer is a smaller circle in a gold or silver metallic foil paper from American Crafts. The final layer is a stamped snowflake in the Delicata ink. The snowflake stamp and die are from an Art Impressions set.
I topped of the snowflake center with a dot of marker in the matching color and then a jewel Nuvo drop in key lime and strawberry coulis. I also used a bit of Wink of Stella on the red and green snowflakes.
I am so happy to have found this challenge. Be sure to check out the challenge blog for more fun and inspiration.
