Beary Christmas Tag.

Here is my tag today for the 25 days of Christmas Tags Challenge that is over on Tracey McNeely blog – In My Creative Opinion. This is such a fun challenge. There are so many great sponsors and the inspiration is incredible. Today the featured sponsor is Neat and Tangled. For my tag design most of the stamps and dies are from them. I recently got this cute stamp set and coordinating die that I have been looking forward to using and today was just the perfect opportunity. On with the tag design.

I stamped the bear and gift from Neat and Tangled Beary Merry stamp set in Versafine Onyx black ink. Used distress makers to color in the present in Festive Berry, Evergreen bough and Vintage photo. I added some white gel pen polka dots to the present. I created the plaid scarf with the festive berries and crushed olive and muted it with a pink hue with some worn lipstick. I did some watercolor shading on the bear with Distress Oxide ink in iced spruce. Used the festive berries again for the rosy cheeks.

The tag base I made with this neat die from Concord and 9th from a set called Bags and Tags Dies. It allows you to create different sizes and designs. I used the MFT watercolor stripe background stamp and colored the stripes with crushed olive distress marker then spritz the stamp with water.

I used the Neat and Tangled scallop dies to cut the pattern paper. The paper is from a 6×6 pad from Pebbles called Welcome Christmas that iI have had for a couple of years now. The To: and From: is from the Beary Christmas set. To get some dimension I cut 3 layers for the pattern paper piece.

The bear and gift were die cut with the coordinating die. The bears arms cut openings so you can place the gift and some of the other items that come with the set too. So cute. I am sure I will be using this one a lot.

Everything was glued down flat except the gift has some foam squares. i also put a very small piece of foam behind the bears ears and feet for a bit of dimension
