Here is a project I am sharing today that will be fitting for both challenges at SSS this week. Wednesday’s gift it and Monday’s Christmas/Winter Holidays.
I had made this gingerbread house a little bit ago. I keep it on my shelf with some other inspirational projects. But away it went when I needed a quick gift. I just filled it with chocolate candies. All I needed was to make a quick tag slipped it into a clear cellophane bag and that was it. So cute and nice that it did need to be wrapped up. On with the gift box and tag design.
The house is just a box folded up to create the house. You can find many step by step directions on Pinterest. The decorations are hand made or fussy cut. Two sides are windows, one side is the door with a wreath and the other is a tree with gifts. There are gum drops and starlight red and white swirl peppermint candies glued around. The rooftop is several strips of white card stock cut with a scallop border punch and trimmed with some sticklers. The box is closed with a tiny clothes pin and red ribbon bow.
The tag was die cut from a Lawn Fawn tiny tags die that is about 4 layers. That was decorated with a snowflake punched and layered about 4 times from a Martha Stewart punch. The snowflake was colored with silver Delicata ink. I used the ornament topper to cut some silver glitter paper. Added a piece behind the center of the snowflake too. Tie it all up with some red and white bakers twine.
Here are two photos showing the different sides.
