Hello everyone. Here again to share another love card using products from the January SSS card kit. This one showcases an embellishment made with small clear and sparkling beads.
I used the sketch from the PP348 challenge this week as a starting point for inspiration and will also submit to the SIP135 Love theme and SSS Wednesday Anything goes Challenges. On with the card design.
I had these bead heart embellishments that I made a while ago and wanted to use them. They are made by using a heavy weight CS die cut that has a thick coat of glossy accents and a sprinkle of beads all over. Making sure to cover completely and lightly pressed in. Let them dry overnight and then covered them with more glossy accents only the clear one. Ran out of GA. The other I added a few drops of Nuvo drops in strawberry coulis and let it dry some then covered it with Pico. This on is the focal point for this card.
I chose the pattern paper strip layered over red CS from SSS kit. Stamped and cut the sentiment in the pink shimmer Delicata ink. I used white CS and embossed it using a Tim Holtz texture plate. I didn’t even realize it actually matches the flower design in the paper strip. Such nice texture on this panel. I just love it. I was just going to trim it down in a straight rectangle and layer up the design but then decided to fussy cut and trim it out to show the flower detail.
This definitely was a design as you go card that was really a very easy card that came together nicely.

This is really lovely! The embossed background with the scalloped edge is wonderful on it’s own but I like how the pattered paper matches it so well. As for the heart embellishment you made – WOW, WOW, WOW. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players this week.
