Hello Everyone,
Stopping in today to share a fun card I made for several challenges this week. It’s an eclipse coffee card. Note inside says Happy Birthday. It will include a coffee shop gift card as well. I have found a few easy tricks for keeping the gift cards in place when making a regular A2 card. On with the card design and ingredients.Paper: Tim Holtz water color paper and black cardstock.
Coloring: Gansai Tambi water colors, white colored pencil, Versamark, and Zigg brush marker in green gray.
Dies: Tim Holtz Sizzix letter dies and Lawn gift box die.
Stamp: Cup from Honey Bee Coffee Break stamp set.
Other: Clear Wink of Stella and ranger fine white embossing powder.
The panel is created by stamping the cup in Versamark and white heat embossing. Colored the cups with the Gansai water colors and shaded them a bit with a white colored pencil. Gray wash for the background. Cut the word coffee from the panel.
Layered these with 3 layers of black letters onto a black panel that is atop a white card base. Then covered the cups with Wink of Stella. Lastly did a black water color splatter
Here is a photo of the inside. The card is just a sample of what it looks like and will be replaced when I purchase the coffee gift card. The next is the sentiment that is stamped with a stamp for SSS Brush Stroke Messages set in Versafine Onyx black ink. The next is another method I have used.
I used the little box cut outs from the Lawn Fawn gift box set to create the gift card holder. They are in the photo. If you don’t have something like this then you could possible try this other method. These are clip dies from a planner set. These you cut and clue in place similarly to hold the gift card in place.
Be sure to check out the challenge blogs for more fun and inspiration.
