You Make Everything Colorful Friendship Card

Hello Everyone, Here is a fun friendship card. You Make Everything Colorful! Created for The Card Concept Challenge #87 (freshly brewed).

My card is a clean and layered somewhat mixed media design inspired by the coffee cup shape and hearts. On with the card design.

I used the SSS February card kit stamps and patterned papers from Echo Park. Stamped the artist utensils on the A2 Neenah 110# card front in die ink. The one time I didn’t use my misti and the ink intensity wasn’t quite right so I did go over them with some Prisma colored pencil and outlined them with Ooly gel pens.

The cup is cut from a Honey Bee die cut from the Coffee Break set. The cup is stamped with the line and outline heart from the kit in sepia and then I filled in the hearts with some Faber Castell textured Gems in gold.

The back ground wash was Zigg brush markers in Gray green toward the bottom and Blue gray toward the top. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine sepia.

Cut the patterned paper with MFT scallop frame die and popped up just the scallop edge with some Darice foam strips. The cup is popped as well over the utensils. I then added some drops of various colored Nuvo drops and a few splotches of the gold textured gem media. Lastly I added some clear Wink of Stella to the utensils. At this point I took the brush which had a slight bit of red ink on it and ran it just around the outside of the cup. It give it a distress glitter appearance.

Be sure to check out the challenge blog for more fun and inspiration.
