You Are Tea-riffic

Hello Everyone,

Here is a sweet-tea card I made this week for the SIP 141 Sketch challenge.
I had a cute teapot stamp I have been looking forward to using and it is center stage on this card. There is a lot of color and dimension with this one. I really am happy with how it turn out. On with the design and ingredients.

I had a plan to have the teapot sitting on a platter on top of a table of sorts. The teapot is a rubber stamp I ordered from Joanne’s online it is from Gourmet Stamps. I started by stamping the teapot with Versafine Onyx black ink after stamping it of once. I colored it in with distress markers in antique linen, spun sugar, worn lipstick, tumbled glass and bundled sage. I fussy cut this out.

I then chose the pattern papers that were all from the SSS March card kit. I also use a strip of this really neat wood veneer paper that I found at The Paper Source. I had a panel of left over paper that was watercolored in cracked pistachio that I cut a Spellbinders oval from for the tray. It was too light so I when over it with some broken china distress ink.

I then stamped and die cut the cups, spoon and teabag tag from the Love You a Latte set from Lawn Fawn. The cups were stamped with Oxides in broken china and the spoon and teabag tag were Versafine Onyx black ink stamped of once. The spoon is colored with Silver and Clear Wink of Stella. The teabag tag has some gray Tombow marker that I just put a dot or two down and used the blender pen on it.
I layered up the focal panel on SSS slate panel to create a border. Used some pretty lace and the Carta Bella Spring Market 6×6 patterned papers from the SSS march kit and the wood veneer strip.
The sentiment is from a latte love stamp and die set from Jilli Bean Soup.
Used some foam squares to create different layers of dimension.

Lastly I added clear Wink of Stella over the cups, teapot and tag.

This was such fun to make I just love this little whimsical teapot. I am already planning on how I might use it again soon.

Be sure to check out the challenge blog for more fun and inspiration.
