Layered Rose Celebrate Card

Hello Everyone,

Stopping in to share a card I made with this beautiful Altenew layered rose die set that came with a recent Simply Cards & papercraft magazine. I saw the dies and said to myself….you need those. I bought it yesterday at Joann’s and could not wait to get a card made. I thought I would try this weeks CAS(E) challenge #264 along with the SSS Flower Frenzy Weds challenge. This is another really easy all die cuts card. On with the card design.

So I don’t know about all of you but I had stopped buying magazines as thee is so much inspiration on line now. I have to say I love this magazine there are a lot of cute projects in this one. These dies are fantastic.
I will advise if you are using these or any other intricate die to use a sheet of double sided adhesive sheets instead of gluing them altogether by hand. Take from me as I have learned the hard way.

The flowers and leaves are cut from colored card stock in a light to dark range. Then you layer them light, dark and medium. So easy and such a nice depth and textured results.
There was only a slight bit of coloring on the top detailed layer on the leaves as I did not have a coordinating color so I used a distress marker to in crushed olive to get the color I was looking for.
The pattern papers are from Carta Bella/Spring Market that came in the SSS March kit. The plaid panels were die cut with the SSS stitched rectangle dies and cut down again to adjust for the size. The bottom panel is wood grain and the top panel is has a couple of faint notebook lines. The sentiment is an Avery Elle die cut from a scrap of black card stock. The rest is just gluing it all in place.

I will be using this die set again soon.

Be sure to check out the challenge blogs for more fun and inspiration,.
