Hello Everyone,
I have a coffee cup shaped card to share today for the SIP#145 Ombre challenge this week. I love this coffee cup die from Honeybee stamps. I can’t wait to make more of these shaped cards. I have been offline for vacation and just got back so hoping to get back to sharing posts on a regular basis again. Had a little shopping haul while away so stayed tuned for some fun cards coming up. On with the card design and ingredients.
This was an easy card to make as the design is in the die cut card shape. The technique is basically masking and sponging to get the ombre coloring.
Ingredients:
Inks: I used an ombre ink pad from Hero arts that was red to purple and Antique linen distress ink.
Dies: Honey Bee Stamps: coffee cup card and donut from coffee break die set.
I doubled up on the sprinkles for dimension. The decorative round black circle is a Sizzix die.
Stamps: The sentiment in the center of the donut is from Hero Arts Kelly’s coffee and donuts wood block set. The Java time is from a Sizzix stamp and die set.
The little flower is from Concord and 9th’s set – Love You Mean It set.
I used multi-colored gel pens by Ooly on the sprinkles and a little clear Wink of Stella to outline the black lid and black circle.
Be sure to check out the challenge blog for more fun and inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by and as always I appreciate your kind comments. Be sure to subscribe/follow along for future blog posts.
Enjoy ~ Pat
