Time to Relax Card- and Painting. 2 Different Techniques.

Hi Everyone,

It has been awhile since I have posted anything. I have been making a few cards here and there but have needed to send them out before getting to photo them and share. But I do have one today that is so totally different for me as I am a stamp and die cutting type card maker and this is a somewhat free hand colored pencil “masterpiece”.

It is a copy of a recent painting I did at a paint bar event. The original I had painted is below as well. It is quite a bit darker in color and I do love it but the pencil version is pretty too. On with card design.

The event was just a relaxing time to spend time with family who I don’t get to see often. We had such a great time visiting and painting up this beautiful beach scene. It is truly a special place as it is the lake shore line at a beach that is near our childhood vacation home that now belongs to one of my sisters. She was kind enough to send in the photo so we could create our paintings of this beautiful beach at Sebago Lake in Maine.

There isn’t much to tell about the ingredients as it is just various Prisma Colored pencils, gamsol, card stock and one stamp for the sentiment that is from a SSS set called Sea You Soon stamped in Versafine Onyx black ink.

The card base is Neenah desert storm, the panel used for the picture is Bristol smooth card stock and I used a coral colored card stock to frame the sentiment and to create a border around the picture.

Here are the two together.

I will submit to the CTD challenge this week as the colors seem fitting.

Be sure to check out the challenge blog for more fun and inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by and as always I appreciate your kind comments. Be sure to subscribe/follow along for future blog posts.

Relax and Enjoy ~ Pat
