Cool Pineapple Card with a Homemade Wobbler

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are having a good week. Here’s a fun card I made using the SSS July Kit. Created this one for the TGIF and SSS Monday Challenge. It’s a cute wobbler. On with the design and ingredients.

The card base is Neenah 110# card stock. I stamped the sentiment 4 times in an oval pattern with Versafine Onyx black ink to create a frame for the focal point. I stamped the pineapple using different distress inks by adding the green to the crown and the oranges and yellows to the pineapple base. Then once dried I completed the water coloring with a the distress inks in wild honey, spiced marmalade, dried marigold, crushed olive and old paper. The pineapple is fuzzy cut.  I splattered the yellows and orange onto the card front. The sunglasses are stamped the in the same black ink. I covered the glasses in Pico Embellisher for some shine and dimension.

I created my own wobbler spring using some 26 gauge  jewelry beading wire by curling around a pen and gluing each end to a piece of card stock then glued it to the pineapple and the card base. Small photo shows the mechanism. This is about 3 turns around the pen which allows for just enough bounce and movement.  I haven’t made and interactive card in awhile and thought this design might be fun to add the action to it.

Be sure to check out the challenge blogs for more fun and inspiration.
