Birthday Boy

Hi Everyone,

I am excited to be sharing this special birthday card I made for my Grandson. I just love how it turned out. This was so fun to make. I enjoyed putting together all the elements from the stamping to the pencil coloring and the goggles eyes. This is fitting for the SSS Wednesday anything goes and the Seize Your Birthday challenges. On with the card and ingredients.

Ingredients- The monsters are from a stamp set from BoBunny. The sentiment is from Jillibean Soup Birthday stamps. I used Prisma Colored pencils and Versafine Onyx black ink. A banner punch from stampin up. Letter dies from ArtC. The number die is from Momenta. The gift is from Tim Holtz and was fuzzy cut and popped up on foam squares.

Started by doing a little masking to stamp the group of monsters. Then some basic coloring with Prisma pencils.

The banner is glues to a thin strip of black paper and popped up on foam squares with a small black and white bakers twine bow tied and glued to each end. The number is 3 layers for more dimension.

To finish it of I used a little clear Wink of Stella on the letters and numbers and a few different colors of Nuvo Crystal drops along with some glow in the dark ones too.

  1. He is going to love it! I used to make a lot of little kid birthday cards but then they turned into teenagers. This makes me want to dust off those stamps and make a stash again! Great card, Pat! :0)
