Happy Halloween Card

Hello Everyone,

I have a fun Halloween Card to share today. I was practicing my shading technique with some Prisma colored pencils and thought it came out great considering I didn’t do any blending with Gamsol this time.

Before we get on with the card. I wanted to also share more on the lack of posts lately. My last post hinted about extended travel and a show I was prepping for. Yes I definitely had fun traveling to Seattle and the PNW and then to Maine for my annual sisters weekend.

A little more on the show. It was a local Farmers Market and I shared a booth with my sister. It was our first event and we had a blast. The turn out was great and we were busy. It was a great first event. I learned a lot about the process and how to prepare and what is needed for set up and take down. We hope to do more and next time I hope to still be posting regularly as well.

I am also lucky to have a very talented photographer in the family. My daughter is a local lifestyle photographer but really can do anything. She came to the event and shot some awesome photos for us of our booth and has the photos and a story about it. Be sure to check it out here.

Would love to hear what you think or our display or if you have questions. Feel free to comment or use contact page to email me.

Now on with the card design and ingredients.

The card is just one stamp from Taylored Expressions. I went a little crazy with the Halloween release this year. I couldn’t resist most of the line. The stamped panel was colored with the Prisma pencils in Lime peel, apple green chartreuse, olive green, Orange, poppy red, Sunburst yellow and canary yellow.

The panel is cut with the Taylored Expressions frayed edge stacklet die. The orange glitter paper is also cut with the same die set in the next size up.

The spider is cut in black card stock from a Lawn Fawn Cuts set.

The card base is an A2 top fold in SSS apple green card stock. The striped card base is from Pebbles BOO 6×6 pack and the orange glitter is from an American Crafts glitter 6×6 pack.

I used a silver gel pen to add eyes to the spider.

I really love Halloween and how this card turned out and will be linking up to a couple of challenges. Be sure to check them out too.
