Christmas Card with a Musical Flare

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great weekend. I am in full swing with getting some Christmas cards done. Have you started making yours yet?

Here is one that is mostly layered die cuts with a stamped back ground panel.

While I was creating it I just couldn’t stop singing the line from the song that the sentiment goes along with. On with the design.

So when I was thinking of a back ground panel I thought the musical notes would work well.

I didn’t think I had a musical stamp. I was going to use an Embossing folder I have to make a print but then ….“Craftacadabra” I found this Fiskars stamp in my stash. I is actually something I must of had for years. It is supposed to be used on some type of wheel. That part I don’t have. But it worked great on a long acrylic block. Have to admit I had seen someone us this word years ago in a story similar to this. Love the word and it stuck in my head for years. Just as this musical tune has now.

I used Gina K Design card stocks. This paper is new to me and I have to say I love it. I am hooked. I bought the reds and greens for Christmas cards this year. Looks like I will be going back to order other colors too.

Stamp is a rubber stamp from Impression Obsession designed by Lindsay Ostrom. The Foliage dies are also from Impression Obsessions they are part of a wreath builder die set. The oval dies are from Sizzix.

The panel was stamped with the sentiment in Versafine Onyx black ink and then sponged with Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey ink.

The music notes are stamped in Delicarta Golden Glitz ink.

I added a few glittery gold enamel dots to finish it off.
