Hello Everyone,
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. The holidays and some fun travel has limited my time for posting. It took a while to get the flow going again. About a month. So Happy New Year to all.
My crafting time has been just that…and focus was more on crafting and craft room organizing. But today I have a fun project to share that was inspired by another Coffee Loving Paper Crafter. Her information is below so please check out her post and see her beautiful project that got my creative juices going. Thank you Hetty. On with the project
Here is my little calendar project. It is now hanging above my craft desk. I am a good one for using what I have so I started with a wire from a discarded notebook. Thought…oh I can use this to hang a picture from. I found a small one dollar chalkboard and went from there.
The wood frame is just painted with Gesso. I used a couple of small screw hooks which easily screwed into the soft wood.
I love to make my own embellishments so this was a perfect project for me.
The papers are from various 6×6 pads: Carta Bella, MFT and Lawn Fawn.
I used the coffee pot stamp and die from my Winter Blog Hop Prize from Paper Sweeties. I stamped and die cut this on the striped paper. I did use an Exacto blade to cut out the triangle from to create the open handle. Cut two in Black and layered them all together to create some dimension and give it more stability.
The other pot was done similarly and is a crafters companion die cut from the flowered paper.
The worlds are 2-3 layers of MFT Black Card stock cut with Spellbinders dies.
I had a few square chalkboard clips that I removed the medium size clothespin clip from. I glues some Coffee cup embellishments I had to them. One I an enamel handled mug and the other was a brad with the brad clips removed.
I made the mug chalkboard into a flip open magnet so you can attach a small slip of paper to add a note if needed. Say like it is Mom’s Birthday on 1/22. Close up below shows the magnet in action.
The cups are puffy stickers and the beans are also brads with the brad clips removed.
I used extra thick glue dots and foam tape to attach the elements.
The calendar is a tear off from Taylored Expression.
I hope you check out my Coffee Loving Friends blog for her calendar project.
