I Have Bean Thinking About You

Hello Everyone. I am excited to be sharing my first card for the Coffee Lovers Hop. I have bean thinking about you is my card design. I used products from a few different companies and a handmade coffee bean stencil with some paper piecing on this one.

A big thank you to Amy and her team and all the wonderful super sponsors. This hop is so much fun and it doesn’t hurt that I love all things coffee. Hope you are ready for some fun coffee cards this week. On with the design and ingredients.

I started by creating the focal panel with the cup stamp from Krumspring Stamps-Coffee is Love set and masking it off. Then stamped the flowered back ground using a W plus 9 stamp called Tossed Florals. The flowers and leaves were colored with Tombo markers and an aqua brush.

Then I stamped the cup again onto some MFT plaid patterned paper and fussy cut the pieces. I created the coffee by mixing some Nuvo drops one was crystal in dark walnut and the other was glitter in golden sunset which made a nice shiny liquid coffee color. The mat is MFT black card stock.

The card front background is a stencil design I created by making a small 3×4 inch panel that I die cut the coffee bean shape from using a Paper Smooches die.

I used the picket fence brushes and vintage photo distress ink. Added some pink doodle dots by hand using a Tombo maker around each of the beans.

The sentiment is from the Krumsping stamp set. Stamped In Versafine Onyx black ink.

The focal panel is popped up on foam tape above some burlap ribbon from The Paper Source.

The card base is Gina K heavy weight white.
