Coffee cup Hawaiian Shirt Card for Dad.

Hello Everyone. It’s hard to believe the hop is almost over and I am only on card #3.

This one is a special one I made for my husband. Anyone who knows him knows he lives in Hawaiian style shirts. Even in the winters when it is below freezing.

His job allows all casual dress now and he has retired all his button down collared shirts. He loves bold, pastels and wild prints so this if so fitting for him. I designed an origami shirt from some really cute coffee scrapbook papers and used is as a focal embellishment for my card. On with the card design and ingredients.

First I want to say I was just playing with some dollar bills to learn how to make the shirts. There is one in the photo of one I made. There are many ideas on Pinterest and YouTube if you are interested in learning the technique.

Paper: SSS ivory cream card base. Wood grain paper from the Paper Source. Specialty card from  Simple Stories that I snagged when I was lucky enough to visit Super Sponsors store Butterfly Reflections in NH. Great store, Vanessa is wonderful and well worth the drive to visit in person.

Ink/color medium: Vintage photo distress oxide, Versafine Onyx black and Prisma colored pencils with Gamsol.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn Cup from Love You A Latte. Hero Arts Wood grain background stamp and the sentiment is from the Dad’s Day set.Dies: Lawn Fawn Cup from Love You A Latte. Spellbinders burst. Stampin UP coffee beans. MFT Stitched 1/2 circle from Tag builder set.

Punches: EK success star burst

Embellishments: Nuvo Crystal glaze for the button. That are pieces left over from a prior die cutting project that most would have thrown out.
