Coffee Note – Friendship Card

Hello Everyone. Hope your holiday weekend is going well and you are doing whatever brings you joy. I have my 3rd card for the Coffee Loving Card Makers Hop to share.

I saw the colors for this weeks CTD challenge and thought I would make a card using the challenge colors. I will be linking it to both. The challenge links are below.

On with the design and ingredients.

It’s a coffee note card with lots of layers and dimension. I have been wanting to use this back ground stamp again in some way and thought his worked well with the design. The background says it all about coffee and friendship.

I stamped it in distress oxide in iced spruce and trimmed it down. Then cut a dark gray panel for a mat and glued it down in a wonky fashion on to the white card base.

I then worked on the small focal panel and used a scrape of lawn fawn plaid and a light gray card stock.

The cup is stamped in sepia and watercolored with Distress Oxide in fossilized amber. I don’t have a die so the cup was fussy cut. The heart shaped steam was stamped in Simon Says Stamp Hybrid ink in stone.

I used some Wink of Stella on the heart stream and covered the coffee with Nuvo Crystal glaze for some shine.

The focal panel is popped up on foam squares.

Ingredients:

Paper: 80# and 110# Neenah white, Simon Says stamp in gray tones, and scrap of Lawn Fawn yellow plaid.

Ink/coloring medium: Versafine Vintage Sepia, Distress Oxides in iced spruce and fossilized amber and Simon Says Stamp hybrid ink in stone.

Stamps: Stampendous – cling coffee background stamp and Neat & Tangled – Perfect Blend stamps.

Dies: Spellbinders – Card Creator rectangle dies.

Embellishments: Wink of Stella pen and Nuvo Crystal glaze..
