Hello Everyone. Hope you are all well and had a nice weekend. Even though the Coffee Loving Card Maker hop is over I am still making a few coffee themed cards. Here is one I just finished for a swap I participate in. I am sharing it here and will be linking it to the challenges below.
On with the design and ingredients.
Ingredients:
Paper: Red and Black card stock. Neenah 80# and 110# white.
Ink/coloring medium: Catherine Pooler’s – rockin red, Distress ink in Barn yard red, Distress ink in dried marigold and Catherine Pooler’s Lime Rickey. Versamark ink.
Stamps: Evelyn T. Designs Coffee Art – Stacked cups. Honey Bee Stamps Perfect Blend – sentiment.
Dies: MFT wonky stitched rectangles.
Stencil: Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Lovers stencil.
Embellishments: Brutus Monroe Alabaster embossing powder (EP).
I created the back ground panel by using blender brushes with the stencil. I started with the rockin red but it was too pink so I went over it with the fire brick red. Then followed with the other colors. I cut the panel down with the wonky stitched rectangle die.
I then created the stacked coffee cups using Versamark ink and EP on a panel of red card stock. I stamped the stack of 3 cups, heat embossing each one before moving on to the next stack. I created a mask with a post it note in order to make it look like it was a stack of 12 cups.
The sentiment was also heat embossed with EP on a black panel strip.
The coffee cup and sentiment strips are popped up on foam squares.
