Hello Everyone. Hope you are all well. I haven’t been in the craft room too much lately. We have been taking day trips on the weekend and doing what we call “picnic in the car”. It has been fun exploring our own state parks and points of interest near by. What are you all doing to pass the time besides crafting?
I did spend some time today doing a couple of cards. I needed to make a card for my Son’s birthday soon and have to get it into the mail asap. The news is saying things are taking longer to get delivered so I want to get it in the mail tomorrow.
I love these berries and that gold embossing powder is gorgeous. Hope you can see how pretty it is in the photos.
Sharing the card here and will be linking it to the challenges below.
On with the design and ingredients.
Ingredients:
Paper: Neenah 100# Desert Storm, Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy and Bristol Smooth card stock.
Ink Mediums: Versamark, Versafine Onyx black and Zigg Clean Color Real Brush markers.
Stamps: Brutus Monroe Berry Thankful clear stamp set, Lawn fawn Year Seven and and Sweet Friends.
Dies: Kat Scrappiness cross stitch rectangle die.
Embellishments: Wow Gold Pearl embossing powder.
The focal image was stamped with the blueberry branch in Versamark and used the Wow gold pearl EP to heat emboss on some Bristol smooth card stock. I colored it in with Persian blue, light green and beige Zigg brush markers.
The panel was die cut with the cross stitched rectangle.
The punny sentiment was created with the two Lawn Fawn sets by doing both masking and stamp surgery. I used the Misti stamping tool to align the sentiment exactly where I wanted the words placed. Given that the words were from two set I stamped each set separately in case they were different heights. I used a piece of clear acetate over the panel to test the stamping before stamping directly onto the colored panel.
