Make it an Ice Cream Kind of Birthday

Hello Everyone. Hope you are all well and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.

Sharing this recent Birthday card and will be linking it to the challenges below.

On with the design and ingredients.

I recently took this really fun class from Jen Shurkus. I wasn’t able to participate during the class but have watched it and I am slowly getting some of the cards done. Albeit not all are exactly like the ones in the class. If you get the chance to take a class or do a retreat I highly recommend it.

The stamp set and stencil used were from that class. I ordered the die after the class as I just knew I would be making a few more of these cute mouse and ice cream cone cards. Isn’t it adorable. It is designed by Anita Jeram for Colorado Crafts Co.

I created a different card design than what was done in the class to fit my need of having more birthday cards in my stash. The original design had 4 different mice and I used 3 on that card and changed it up a bit (I will share that one below too) then used this one to get the extra card. I didn’t have the exact Copic colors she used so I tried my best to use what I had that was close to being equivalent. The cone is a little dark but…let’s just say it’s a chocolate cone and it’s all good. 😀 Right!

Paper: SSS pink, Neenah 80# white.

Ink/coloring medium: Copic markers, Distress inks, Versafine onyx black.

Stamps: Colorado Craft Company Ice Cream Day mini. Happy Birthday is from Concord & 9th – fine line florals set.

Dies: Mouse/w cone matching die. Kat Scrappiness cross stitched rectangle dies.

Stencil: the Rabbit Hole Designs – scooped stencil trio.

Embellishments: Nuvo Glitter glaze

Here is the one I made with the other 3 mice images. So happy to have not 1 but 2 cards for my birthday card stash.
